Skilled Migration 

Australia is geographically vast but most regions are thinly populated. There has constantly been a manpower shortage, which are mainly compensated by overseas skilled talents. If you are experienced professionals or technical workers, as long as your occupation is on the relevant skilled occupation list, we can customise your skilled migration pathways, and then assist with your visa application with our in-depth knowledge of Migration laws and policies. Our service includes but is not limited to:

Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)-Points-tested stream

This visa lets invited workers with skills to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia. Applicants are scored over several items including academic qualification, working experience in or out of Australia, English level, partner’s skills etc, only those who scores more than 65 points may be invited by the immigration department to apply for this visa.

General eligibility criteria:

​

You must be able to score 65 points in the points test before submitting an Express of Interest (EOI).
You can only apply for this visa if the Department invite you to.
You must be aged under 45 when we invite you to apply for the visa.
At the time of invitation, you must have at least competent English.
You must have a suitable skills assessment for an occupation that is on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)

 

Skilled Nominated visa(Subclass 190)

This is a Permanent visa which share all the general criteria with subclass 189 visa. The main difference of subclass 190 visa is that you must have been nominated for this visa by an Australian state or territory government agency before you are invited to apply for the visa.
You can nominate any occupation that is on the relevant state occupation list,which generally offers you more choices.
Nomination by state government will offer you extra 5 points in the skilled points test, which makes you competitive in the EOI system.
When the visa is granted, you should commit to live and work in your sponsor state or territory for 2 years.

Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

This is a temporary visa which will come to effect on 06/11/2019 to replace the existing Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489). It is valid for 5 years to allow skilled workers to live and work in regional Australia.

If you are nominated by a regional state/territory government ,you will be rewarded extra 15 points in skilled points test;If you are sponsored by an eligible relative who lives in regional Australia, you will be rewarded 10 points in skilled points test. An eligible relative can be:

  • a parent

  • a child or step-child

  • a brother, sister, adoptive brother, adoptive sister, step-brother or step-sister

  • an aunt, uncle, adoptive aunt, adoptive uncle, step-aunt or step-uncle

  • a nephew, niece, adoptive nephew, adoptive niece, step-nephew or step-niece

  • a grandparent, or

  • a first cousin


Conditions will be imposed on the visa which will enforce the government’s intentions that visa holders live, work and study only in regional areas. Visa holders can move between regional areas, which are defined as any area excluding Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Perth.

General eligibility criteria:

​

You must be aged under 45 when we invite you to apply for the visa.

You must be either nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency or sponsored by an eligible relative. 

You must be able to score 65 points in the points test before submitting an Express of Interest (EOI).
You can only apply for this visa if the Department invite you to.
At the time of invitation, you must have at least competent English.
You must have a suitable skills assessment for an occupation that is on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL),the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Regional Occupation List (ROL).

Skilled Regional (Permanent Residence) visa (subclass 191)

Subclass 191 visa is the permanent migration pathway designed for holders of Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) and Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa a (subclass 494 ), which will be open for application in November 2022.

You are eligible to apply for this permanent visa if you have held a subclass 491 visa or subclass 494 visa for at least 3 years, have complied with the visa conditions on that visa, and have met minimum taxable income threshold, which is $53900 annually. You do not need another skill assessment nor a points test.

Skilled – Regional Visa (subclass 887)

This visa is a permanent visa pathway for people who have lived and worked in specified areas of regional Australia on a previous eligible visa.

General eligibility criteria:

​

You must be in Australia and hold an eligible visa at the time a subclass 887 visa application is made. An eligible visa is a subclass 489, 495, 496, 475 or 487 visa, or Bridging visa A or B after having made a valid application for a subclass 489, 495 or 487 visa.

 

At the time you apply for this visa you must have lived for a total of at least 2 years, as the holder of one or more eligible visas, in a regional or a designated area of Australia.

You must have worked full-time for at least 12 months as the holder of one or more eligible visas. Full time work means 35 hours per week.  You can combine work in concurrent part-time employment to satisfy this requirement. You can work in your nominated occupation or any other occupation.

You and any family members holding an eligible visa, must have complied with the conditions attached to your eligible visa when in Australia. This requirement applies for the whole period you hold the visa(s).

Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485)

This is a temporary visa that allows international students who recently have obtained a qualification in a CRICOS-registered course to live, study and work in Australia temporarily. An applicant cannot be granted a subclass 485 visa as a primary visa holder more than once.

The subclass 485 visa comprises of two streams: Graduate work stream and Post -Study work stream(PSW). Please refer to the following table for a comparison between the two streams.

 

PSW stream

  • Applicants must be under 50 years of age

  • Applicants must hold an eligible visa at time of application. The eligible visas include a current student visa, a Bridging Visa A or B, and a substantive visa. If an applicant is not a primary holder of a student visa, he must have held a student visa within the past 6 months.

  • Applicants must meet the Australian study requirement

  • Applicants must apply this visa within six months of course completion.

  • At time of application, applicants must achieve equivalent to IELTS overall score of at least 6 with a minimum score of 5 for each of the 4 parts.

  • This stream is only available for applicants who applied for their first student visa to Australia on or after 5 November 2011.

  • Applicants must hold an eligible qualification at degree-level or above, regardless of their field of study. Skill assessment is not required.

  • Validity period:

  1. Bachelors or Masters by coursework -2years 

  2. Master by research – 3years

  3. PHD – 4years

​

Graduate work stream

  • Applicants must be under 50 years of age

  • Applicants must hold an eligible visa at time of application. The eligible visas include a current student visa, a Bridging Visa A or B, and a substantive visa. If an applicant is not a primary holder of a student visa, he must have held a student visa within the past 6 months.

  • Applicants must meet the Australian study requirement

  • Applicants must apply this visa within six months of course completion.

  • At time of application, applicants must achieve equivalent to IELTS overall score of at least 6 with a minimum score of 5 for each of the 4 parts.

  • There is no restriction regarding the first student visa for this stream.

  • Applicants must:

  • nominate an occupation on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL),

  • and have a degree, diploma or trade qualification closely related to the nominated occupation. 

  • and be assessed by a relevant assessing authority as having skills suitable for that occupation

  • Validity period: 18 months
